Master of Science in Civil Engineering Technology
Interesting courses but expensive.

Good teachers, they are interactive. Language is a barrier for some. Courses are interesting.

Structural design and structural innovation are the cornerstones of this programme. Civil engineering structures are designed with a specific purpose, in compliance with environmental, legal and structural rules. Through the choice of materials, numerical simulation and construction methods, the conceptual structural design is translated into structural shapes and dimensions. The engineering challenge is to arrive at an optimal structural design that meets the relevant criteria of structural strength, serviceability, energy efficiency, durability, etc. This process is driven by technological innovations: new materials, building information modelling (BIM), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technologies (HVAC), etc.
Almost 30% of this programme (18ECTS) is composed of elective courses, allowing you to focus on the technological innovations of your choice: Dredging, BIM, Acoustics, Coastal and River Engineering, Sustainable Materials Engineering, Precast Concrete and Dynamics of Structures.
¿Qué objetivos tiene esta formación?: Built on a solid foundation in structural design and innovation, this programme will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a civil engineer. Through the choice of materials, numerical simulation and construction methods you will be able to design structures with a specific purpose that are fully compliant with environmental, legal and structural rules. You will be able to translate a project from concept to realisation, arriving at a structural design that meets the relevant criteria of strength, serviceability, energy efficiency, durability, etc.
Requisitos: To be eligible and to ensure an optimal match with the programme, the following admission criteria apply: - being holder of an honour Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc., B.Tech., B.Eng., etc.) or Master's degree in a related/cognate subject area - having a clear affinity with the major - providing proof of sufficient English language proficiency (More information: www.kuleuven.be/english/admissions) - having a solid background in science and mathematics
