If you really take advantage of what the school has to offer I think you end up spending less money ... Computers, cafes (although it is always cheaper than a meal package) bus tours, etc ...

Everything was cheaper than Norway, except imported "luxury goods" in Europe, as well as clothing Shops..In spend more total European travel and nightlife, but only because we made it :)

Although perhaps too expensive for Mexico, still cheaper than in Europe, and for someone who is new in town is hard to find anything independently. All housing offerd by the university is very close to the university, which is very important for Mexico City.

It was a very safe way to be initiated into the Mexican culture. It was convenient to go directly to live with a family and not having to find their own place. Meals are cooked for me, it was a delight and gave me the opportunity to do yoga as my host was a yoga teacher.

Es una escuela bien que se centra en el bienestar de los estudiantes, especialmente se preocupa psicológicamente, promoviendo que si un estudiante está pasando por momentos difíciles que podría compartir con un amigo o con el psicólogo de la escuela.

We stayed in a stunning house in the historic center of Queretaro. I lived there with 4 other exchange students (3 French and one German) but from the first day they only spoke Spanish. However, I would recommend to queretanos possible to find a place to share with other Mexican students. As you will not get a lock on the Mexican way of thinking, even faster ... We've had our semi-Mexican-semi-Frenchman who took care of it, girl and some Mexican friends who spent more time in our house in its only proper ... ;-)

I happened to live with my aunt and uncle so the experience was very different ... When he was not in school I was doing "family things" so the accommodation has not really have much to do with college

Before beginning the Tec I went to Mazatlan to take intensive Spanish classes for a period of 4 weeks. Half a year before (winter 01/02) I went for 3 weeks at Malaga in Andalusia, Spain taking Spanish classes as well. I think it's worth much more than just go to the country and learn the language there instead of taking a year-long (and mostly very expensive) language courses in their home country ... I will do what same again very soon in France. Now I know how easy it can be to learn a foreign language I want to go back to my very basic French high school ...

One of the favorite places for us to go was Bar River, a large bar that people our age and even were, had a nice atmosphere ... salsa classes and club repulsion can not lose, I had a amazing time doing both, Mexican students were nothing but helpful and friendly and really welcomed us into their circle
